Get the brows you’ve always dreamed of with Microblading

Microblading Eyebrows near Winston Salem , NC
WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
Microblading is an advanced semi-permanent hair simulation technique where pigment is implanted into the eyebrow area. Using a handheld tool with micro needles, a professional beauty technician will draw individual short and precise hair-like strokes that mimic the natural brow line so that you can wake up every morning with perfect brows.

BENEFITS
  • Perfect for those who want to reconstruct, define, cover gaps, fill-in over plucked brows or may be suffering from hair loss
  • Customize your eyebrow shape to your individual preference
  • Low maintenance and smudge proof
  • Reduce the time it takes to get ready in the morning defining your brows
  • A more natural alternative to traditional forms of permanent makeup application
  • Results last for up to 1 1/2 to 2 years

Microblading Style

Individual Hair Stroke The hair stroke technique is used to mimic the natural look of tiny hairs which form the brow. This is ideal for people who may have experienced hair loss or over-plucked brows or don’t want the look of an overly made up brow.

Combination Style

3D Brows Combination brows offer the best of both powdered and hair-stroke effects. The two styles are combined together to achieve a beautifully natural yet defined brow.

Powder Brows Style

Solid and Feather Fade. The powder brow technique will leave you with an appearance similar to when you have used brow powder or a pencil to block in the color of your brows. The pigment will be implanted using a technique that will allow you to enjoy a permanent and defined soft powdered look.

Lips Blush

Lips stick will not smudge. If you have lost the natural pigmentation and/or definition in your lips, it is possible to add subtle definition to faded lip contours, or create fuller lips using a variety of techniques. I can even create the look of fillers without the need for painful injections! Whatever your reason, permanent makeup could be the solution for you.

Eyeliner

Wan’t wash away. Top and Bottom Eyeliner. Wan’t wash away. Need to define your eyes or have lost your lashes, I can create anything from subtle lash enhancements to perfectly defined eyeliner treatments. Give you a perfect classic pencil look, a liquid liner with a perfect flick, or a sultry smokey eye. You could even try something more elaborate with two-toned eyeliner or ‘butterfly’ shading! However subtle or dramatic, an eye treatment can transform your morning routine – just get up and go!

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?

Microblading and Microshading last Approximately 18-24-36 months with proper aftercare and follow up appointment(s). Skin type and lifestyle can effect the longevity of your cosmetic tattoo – we can not guarantee specific results. For instance, staying out of the sun and avoiding exfoliants.

How long does the procedure take?

Typically, each procedure appointment is two to three hours. The majority of the time is spent performing a consultation and selecting the appropriate colour for your skin. I measure and artistically draw on your new brows, taking photos for you to look at prior to actually implanting the colour. I also apply a topical anaesthetic and allow time for this to get to work. Only once you are happy with the planned look, will I start the procedure.

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING TAKE?

There are several stages which include; numbing, outlining the desired shape, the actual process of Microblading, and the fine tuning of the finished process. This usually takes roughly 2 hours.

DOES MICROBLADING HURT?

Discomfort is minimal and a numbing cream is used to insure a painless procedure. Most would compare the degree of discomfort to the feeling felt when threading their brows.

DO YOU OFFER IN-PERSON CONSULTATION?

Due to the high volume of clientele we offer same day consultations that are included in the deposit fee. Any concerns and questions can also be addressed by in a clear photo of your eyebrows to for a free text to 704-699-8397 consultation.

ARE THERE ANY REASONS WHY I MAY BE INELIGIBLE FOR MICROBLADING?

You must be 18+ to receive a service. As a safety precaution, we refrain from working on individuals who are pregnant or nursing. If you have previously microbladed eyebrows by another artist, we do require a visual consultation via email before you are eligible to book an appointment. This is to ensure expectations and achievable results coincide with one another. If you are diabetic, you must insure your diabetes is well controlled. High blood sugar levels can complicate the healing process. We also refrain from working on individuals who are going through chemotherapy because they are at higher risks of bleeding and infection.

WHAT IS MY PRE APPOINTMENT GUIDELINES?

Please refrain from all activities that may cause irritation of the skin or thinning of the blood prior to your appointment:

  • Refrain from alcohol consumption 24 hours before receiving Microblading
  • Refrain from suntanning, microdermabrasion, dermaplanning, laser treatment, and chemical peels 7-10 days before receiving Microblading.

  • Refrain from consuming coffee and energy drink the day of your appointment.
  • If you are to receive any waxing or hair removal in the treated area, please allow a minimum of 2-3 days between your appointments for the skin to heal.

You must be off any and all Retin-A or Retinol products for a minimum of 7 days prior to your appointment and 30 days post appointment. These products can cause premature and extreme color loss. If you decide to continue your Retin-A or Retinol use do not apply on the treated area and please keep in mind that brow artist is not responsible for the loss of color in your cosmetic tattoo.

If you are experiencing any blemishes, acne, cold sores, any other skin irritations, or have a mole in or around the area of procedure please contact Brow Artist immediately via e-mail for a consultation. It is up to the discretion of our artists to decide whether or not they have a workable surface. Failure to communicate any of these may result in a cancellation or rescheduling of your appointment. All deposits are nonrefundable.

If you receive Botox, please ensure you leave 2-3 weeks in between session to ensure it doesn’t effect the overall symmetry of your new cosmetic tattoo.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR APPOINTMENT DAY?

If possible, please attend your Microblading appointment with a cleansed face. A workable surface is key to a successful session.

Please ensure you come to the appointment well hydrated and well fed. The process takes several hours and we want to ensure you’re in a state of comfort.

Sensitivity is heightened during menstrual cycles.

Due to COVID-19 no guests are permitted within the studio, please attend your appointment solo.

Note: Although we’ve seen excellent results achieved in a single session, it is best to come in with the mindset that multiple session are sometimes required to achieve optimal results. Touch ups give us an opportunity to see how your skin heals, review pigment retention, and make any necessary adjustments.

DO DIFFERENT SKIN TYPES REACT DIFFERENTLY TO MICROBLADING?

In short, yes. However, healed results are unique to each client. In our experience, dry skin typically heals to a finer(crisp) finish, while oily skin typically leads to a thicker(soft) healed stroke. Results vary and can be attributed to a number of factors including; skin type, aftercare, and environmental exposure.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I NEED A TOUCH UP?

The best results generally come from a two step process. Touch ups allow us to analyze how the color regenerates beneath the skin and add in areas that may have healed incorrectly. Healed results are unique to each client and we do our best to create a consistent experience. Touch ups are beneficial for color restoration, shape correction, and/or any fine tuning the client desires and are highly recommended.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MICROBLADING?

Like any tattoo, swelling and redness is unavoidable. You may experience an intensified vibrancy from the pigment causing a temporary darkness to your brows. As they heal, the swelling will desist, the vibrancy will settle, and the colour will restore to a natural finish. For best results, please follow the detailed aftercare instructions below.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FIRST 6-8 WEEKS:

Intensified color and swelling are part of the initial stages of healing. Be patient. Do not freak out. The intensity should regress within 7 days. The sensation can be comparable to that of a slight burn and minimal scabbing and/or flaking may take place. Refrain from picking at your brows as you may run the risk of removing pigment in the process. The true vibrancy of your cosmetic tattoo is achieved between weeks 6 and 8, in the time leading up to then you’ll experience a slight loss in color before it begins to regenerate as your skin naturally exfoliates.

THE HEALED RESULTS
CARING FOR MY NEW BROWS

To preserve your completely healed results; apply sunscreen regularly, hats and larger sunglasses are encouraged, and avoid over exposure to the sun. Chlorine, glycol acid, microdermabrasion, and other cosmetic products can lighten the pigment with repeated use. When getting any procedures, whether it be cosmetic or not, done to your face please let the individual performing the service know about your microbladed brows and continue at your own discretion. We are not responsible for any changes made to your brows in its reaction to any additional services you may receive.

10 FACTORS NEGATIVELY EFFECTING YOUR END RESULTS
  1. Soap, Shampoo, or Cleanser exposure to unhealed brows in the first 10 days.
  2. Picking or scratching which can lead to a loss of pigment or scarring.
  3. Placing cosmetic products on unhealed brows in the first 2 weeks.
  4. Threading and Waxing unhealed brows in the first 2-4 weeks.
  5. Exposure to bodies of water with unhealed brows in the first 2 weeks.
  6. Bleach and Dye exposure to unhealed brows in the first 6-8 weeks.
  7. Exercising and Sweating with unhealed brows in the first week.
  8. Bath submersion or over exposure to shower water with unhealed brows in the first 10 days.
  9. Anti Aging products (Retinol’s) + Anti Acne products (Glycolic Acids).
  10. Laser treatments on the area.

PERMANENT MAKEUP, SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

You’ll sometimes see permanent cosmetics referred to as semi-permanent makeup or even micro-pigmentation; these are all valid names and refer to the same procedure. I refer to my treatments as ‘permanent’ as this is technically more accurate. Although the pigments will still fade over time if not retouched, they never fully disappear from within the dermis – even if they get to a point where they can hardly be seen.

This can be confusing, especially as when most people think of ‘permanent’ they imagine a conventional body-art type of tattoo. The only difference between a semi-permanent procedure and a truly permanent one is how deeply the ink is injected into the skin; the deeper you go, the longer the pigment remains. Typical body-art tattoos are meant to last for life, so those artists use electromagnetic coil machines to implant the ink deep into the dermis. Brows, on the other hand, are expected to fade, so the technique I use relies on a digital pen to implant the ink more superficially into the skin.
